CONGRATULATIONS - FIRST HOLY COMMUNION / CONFIRMATION
Congratulations to all the candidates, who receive the sacrament of First Holy Communion and Confirmation recently. We encourage them to join the altar servers, choir and youth ministry.

CLIFTON DIOCESE TRUSTEE
The Diocese is currently looking for an individual to join the Board of the Trustees to enhance the skills of the Board. Suitable applicants should have a detailed understanding of governance, and experience in change management and transformation activities.
This is a voluntary role with the commitment to one 4 hour meeting approximately eight times per year on a Wednesday from 9:30am in Bristol, along with membership of at least one sub-committee which would meet six times per year. Time to prepare for the various meetings is also required. It is usual for a Trustee to give somewhere in the region of 8 hours per month plus travelling time. Trustee training and travel expenses will be provided.
Expressions of interest in the role, together with a recommendation from your Parish Priest, should be submitted to the Bishop’s Office via Alessia Dini, St Ambrose, North Rd, Leigh Woods, Bristol BS8 3PW or by email to Alessia.Dini@cliftondiocese.com by 30th June 2026.

SILVER JUBILEE
Father Gary Brassington celebrates 25 years as a priest on Tuesday 14th July. There will be Mass at Saint Peter's, Gloucester (London Road GL1 3EX) at 7:00pm on that day, followed by refreshments.

ST. CARLO ACUTIS EXHIBITION, ENGLISH MARTYRS, CHARD
The Exhibition takes place on Saturday 13th June (10:00am to 11:30am), and then Sunday 14th, Saturday 20th, Sunday 21st June (10:00am to 1:00pm).
You’ll be able to explore many of the Eucharistic Miracles, documented by the young new Saint Carlo Acutis himself!

LISTENING TO CHRIST IN THE SCRIPTURES
We are pleased to welcome Fr Łukasz Popko OP, to St Francis of Assisi Church, Ash Hayes Road, Nailsea, Bristol BS48 2LP.
His talks will be on Saturday 20th June, homilies on Sunday 21st June & a Day of Recollection on Monday 22nd June.
We begin on Saturday & Monday after 9:15am Mass, please bring a packed lunch on these days, refreshments will be provided.
Fr Łukasz is a Polish Dominican friar and a prominent biblical scholar based at the École Biblique et Archéologique Française de Jérusalem (EBAF). His research focuses on the Old Testament, as well as biblical poetry. Notable works include ‘Questioning God’ one of his most widely recognised works co-authored with Cardinal Timothy Radcliffe, exploring biblical dialogues as a means of entering deeper into a relationship with God. Fr. Łukasz frequently contributes to international biblical symposiums and engages in interdisciplinary dialogues about faith & literature.

DIOCESAN DAY 2026 : ‘Joy of Love’ – Saturday 4 July
Bishop Bosco warmly invites you to join him on 4th July for our Diocesan Day celebration entitled: 'The Joy of Love' at Downside School & Abbey. We will have Patti Boulaye OBE as our keynote speaker, as well as a children’s & young people’s programme. Arrivals/refreshments from 10:00am. A hot lunch will be provided (a lunch box for the children). Our Diocesan Day Mass will take place in the Abbey Church at 3:30pm, with the day ending around 4:30pm. There will be a maximum of 400 tickets. If you would like to join us for the day, please register via: https://joyoflove.eventbrite.co.uk for your ticket. For the catering/safeguarding requirements, booking through Eventbrite is essential. The closing date for tickets is 24th June unless fully booked beforehand.

SACRAMENT OF THE SICK
This is an important message to families in our parish, concerning any sick and housebound that need the parish priest to visit and administer the sacrament of the sick. Please call or email the Parish Office as soon as possible. It is better not left till the last minute.
DONATIONS
In view of the plan to build the Holy Family Church Hall, the finance committee members have decided that donations to the church will henceforth be directed to the church hall funding unless the donor advises otherwise. Thank you for every support so far.
