SOCIAL GROUP
Our next get-together will be on Thursday 28th May from 2:00 – 3:15pm in the convent. One of our parishioners will be leading us on an easy and enjoyable “Keep Fit” session. Do come and join us for an afternoon of laughter and simple exercises. Sit and recover over a cup of tea or coffee.

CONFIRMATION 2026
The date for the Sacrament of Confirmation in 2026 is on Tuesday 9th June 2026 at 7:00pm.
The next preparation session is on Tuesday 2nd June 2026, 6:30pm - 8:00pm.

DR SCOTT HAHN
Dr Scott Hahn, Catholic writer, author, broadcaster and teacher is coming to this country in May and will be speaking at St. John the Evangelist, Bath, on Tuesday, 26th May at 7:00pm. In addition, Dr. Scott will be signing his books which CTS will bring with them.

NOW IS THE TIME
Symposium to explore the teachings of Pope Leo in his Apostolic Exhortation ‘Dilexi Te’
‘Now is the Time’ is a Symposium to explore the teachings of Pope Leo in his Apostolic Exhortation ‘Dilexi Te' (Love for the Poor) at St Brendan’s College, Brislington, on Saturday 30th May.
Our keynote speakers will be Bishop Bosco MacDonald, Sir John Battle KC*SG and Raymond Friel (CSAN).
We will start the day at 10:00am (refreshments from 9:30am) and finish at 4:00pm.
Please bring a packed lunch.

ST. CARLO ACUTIS EXHIBITION, ENGLISH MARTYRS, CHARD
The Exhibition takes place on Saturday 13th June (10:00am to 11:30am), and then Sunday 14th, Saturday 20th, Sunday 21st June (10:00am to 1:00pm).
You’ll be able to explore many of the Eucharistic Miracles, documented by the young new Saint Carlo Acutis himself!

DIOCESAN DAY 2026 : ‘Joy of Love’ – Saturday 4 July
Bishop Bosco warmly invites you to join him on 4th July for our Diocesan Day celebration entitled: 'The Joy of Love' at Downside School & Abbey. We will have Patti Boulaye OBE as our keynote speaker, as well as a children’s & young people’s programme. Arrivals/refreshments from 10:00am. A hot lunch will be provided (a lunch box for the children). Our Diocesan Day Mass will take place in the Abbey Church at 3:30pm, with the day ending around 4:30pm. There will be a maximum of 400 tickets. If you would like to join us for the day, please register via: https://joyoflove.eventbrite.co.uk for your ticket. For the catering/safeguarding requirements, booking through Eventbrite is essential. The closing date for tickets is 24th June unless fully booked beforehand.

SACRAMENT OF THE SICK
This is an important message to families in our parish, concerning any sick and housebound that need the parish priest to visit and administer the sacrament of the sick. Please call or email the Parish Office as soon as possible. It is better not left till the last minute.
DONATIONS
In view of the plan to build the Holy Family Church Hall, the finance committee members have decided that donations to the church will henceforth be directed to the church hall funding unless the donor advises otherwise. Thank you for every support so far.
HOLY FAMILY YOUTH GROUP
